While Our Finest Fight In Far Off Lands…

the disenfranchised malcontents are taking to the streets again. These groups are populated by the “I didn’t get enough attention as a child” people, the I’m still living in the 60’s, man” retreads, the “I’m angry at just about everything” children, the “I want to be arrested to piss off my parents” young college students and the “Cindy Sheehan wannabees”.

Michele Malkin has a post up today about the goings on in DC by the Anti-Everything-Good crowd:

Busy day ahead for the anti-war mob

Some highlights:

Blockade the IRS at 8 am with War Resisters League, CODEPINK and friends at 12th and Constitution Ave. Help expose the real cost of war by shutting down the IRS first thing in the morning and making a clear statement to stop FUNDING war! Click here for more info. Email nycwrl@att.net to get involved with this action

Veterans March for Peace will gather on the Mall at 7th Street at 9 AM. They will begin their march around 10 am and proceed to the American Indian Museum, several sites on Capitol Hill, the National Archives, Justice department and more, culminating with creative acts of civil resistance at the White House and Veterans Administration. Click here for more info and the call to action. Email tkauff@hvc.rr.com to get involved in this action.

This one is beyond reprehensible:

Granny Peace Brigade Knit-In: The Grannies will as they knit stump socks for soldiers returning from Iraq & Afghanistan with amputated limbs to draw attention to this virtual epidemic among Iraq veterans.and the lack of care provided our veterans.~~~~~~~

Go to Michele’s post to read about the rest. It doesn’t get any better.

I realize that I haven’t been blogging much lately about what the Islamists are up to or what damage our Congress has been bringing about lately, but the “we-who-hate-everything-American-and-Military ” have been real busy here. I will get back to the above soon.

After spending the weekend with patriotic Veterans, Military Families and Red, White and Blue Americans, it is really hard to stomach the goings on of Code Pink, Vets For Peace and all the other American-bashing, professional socialist protesters and spoiled ‘children’ that congregate to spread their toxic hatred for all that I hold dear.

But as we found out this past weekend, there are many folks out there who are more supportive of this country than the media would have you believe.

The protesters might be ramping up their agendas and god knows they are well-funded, but they will not prevail. It’s a tired, old song they screech out. It didn’t take out America in the 60’s and it won’t now.

How can I say this with such certainty? Well, we have a lot of Vietnam Vets who are not very happy about reliving what they went through 40 years ago and they are not going to let it happen to the newest Veterans coming off the frontlines. We have families of the military who are not going to let their loved ones be tarred by the these noxious instigators and terrorist defenders. We have folks who love this country and all it stands for who will not stand by and let lying, delusional, hate-filled idiots destroy it. But the best reason I have is the newest ‘greatest generation’ themselves. Yes, most are young people right now and very busy “just doing my job, Ma’am”, but they will come home and mature even more than they already have while in service to their country. That may be the key right there to the difference between those taking to the streets today and them: Service to their country. What service have these malcontents performed, except to spew hatred for good? Yes, they can put on their “uniforms” (tho I don’t think pink tiaras and orange jumpsuits necessarily qualify there) and go out to do “battle” in the streets of the safest and freest country on the globe where no one will shoot at them or round them up and cut off their heads, while our Finest put on their uniforms (you know, the real ones) and go out to do battle against the most vicious and brutal enemy we have seen every day, to be shot at and who knows what else. Kind of makes the perpetually petulant ones look like the losers they are and always will be, doesn’t it?

Contrasted to this:

and this:

I know who I’m standing up for.

CJ also has a post up about all this:

Protesters’ Day of Joy - Iraqi Freedom Anniversary

Today marks the 5th Anniversary of Operation Iraqi Freedom, although we didn’t actually cross the border until 23:59. Naturally, the anti-war movement has got plenty of tricks up their sleeves. This year, they’re venturing into some shark infested waters - particularly in Pittsburg….

Losers, all.

And read this:

Dear Soldier: I Am the One

(get the tissues)

[Kat - this is a personal letter to our soldiers, veterans and, to some extent, their families on the anniversary of the beginning of the Battle for Iraq and nearly seven years after the invasion of Afghanistan]

Thank you, Kat!!
