Not Surprising ~
Since he’s bent on destroying the America that I love, I am not surprised that he takes the world stage to freakin’ blame America and apologize for all the bad, bad things done by this country.
“In America, there is a failure to appreciate Europe’s leading role in the world.
“Instead of celebrating your dynamic union and seeking to partner with you to meet common challenges, there have been times where America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive.”
He also blamed Europe for the Anti-Americanism.
“In Europe, there is an anti-Americanism that is at once casual, but can also be insidious. Instead of recognising the good that America so often does in the world, there have been times where Europeans choose to blame America for much of what is bad.”
“On both sides of the Atlantic, these attitudes have become all too common. They are not wise. They do not represent the truth.
“They threaten to widen the divide across the Atlantic and leave us both more isolated. They fail to acknowledge the fundamental truth that America cannot confront the challenges of this century alone, but that Europe cannot confront them without America.”
(Irony is so lost on this Administration.)
And he’s still blaming Bush, though if he would read some history, he would know that that started long before Bush was President.
But he covers himself with:
“I think it is important for Europe to understand that even though I am president and George Bush is not president, al-Qaeda is still a threat.”
Gee, you mean to say that it wasn’t just Bush they were against? Imagine that!
Read the whole speech. Again, if you read carefully in between all the “Yay America!” statements that he was told to say for cover, you will find his true agenda of controlling all our lives.
Our two republics were founded in service of these ideals. In America, it is written into our founding documents as “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” In France: “Liberté” — (applause) — absolutely — “egalité, fraternité.” (Applause.) Our moral authority is derived from the fact that generations of our citizens have fought and bled to uphold these values in our nations and others.
And that’s why we can never sacrifice them for expedience’s sake. That’s why I’ve ordered the closing of the detention center in Guantanamo Bay. (Applause.) That’s why I can stand here today and say without equivocation or exception that the United States of America does not and will not torture. (Applause.)
My question is: Why are you trying to take away our liberty with every controlling policy that puts your fingers in everyone’s pie?
Maybe because you are so arrogant as to think that you know what’s best for everyone?

Obama does not speak for this American.
