And On It Goes…

From the Thomas More Law Center:

Government Pursuit of LtCol Chessani Continues; Marine Ordered to Face Board of Inquiry

ANN ARBOR, MI – Nearly four years after the so-called “Haditha Massacre,” an investigation conducted by over 65 NCIS agents (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) ─ the largest investigation in that agency’s history ─ with the expenditure of millions of taxpayer dollars, and prosecution losses at every stage of the criminal process, the government has decided to give up on the criminal prosecution against Marine LtCol Jeffrey Chessani.  Nonetheless, the battle for this loyal Marine officer continues…

And he isn’t the only Marine or Soldier still fighting prosecution for doing their job.

I haven’t posted much on all this in quite awhile, as the wheel of so-called justice turns so slowly.  But there are men who wore the uniform sitting in prison for political reasons only. Lives and reputations ruined.  Marriages strained to the breaking point.  Parents fallen ill from the reality that their child sees no justice from the very government he fights under.

And terrorists who kill Americans are set free out of “compassion” (read: politics).  Detainees are believed before our own troops.  Human rights groups fight for murderers, not their victims.

But then, with politicians of outrageously low ethics and no morals in our government, tragically we cannot be surprised.  Mad as hell, yes.  Surprised, no.

This should make you weep.

For me, weeping is over.  Fighting time has come.

Just some of the accused:

SSG Ray Girouard (just granted parole and going home in Oct. - but will be appealing his court martial)

SGT Lawrence Hutchins (currently serving 11 years. Just had another hearing - 2 wk continuance as the main witness failed to show)

Capt. Roger Hill (resigned from Army after Article 32 hearing - members of Dog Co. are still facing punishment for defending their fellow soldiers)

1SGT Tommy Scott (one of the Dog Co.)

Michael Behanna (currently serving a 25-year sentence)

You really have to dig to to get the full stories on these men.  I’ve been watching for 3 years now, since I first became aware of The Pendleton 8.  Fortunately, there are folks out there who also watch and help as best they can.  Too bad the powers-that-be don’t really give a rat’s a$$.
